AMIDON BALLISTIC CONCRETE ™
Amidon Ballistic Concrete absorbs thousands of bullets in the same spot, including 50cal, without fragmenting or ricocheting. Extensively tested by the U.S. Military, ABC has proven and documented benefits over traditional live-fire structures such as steel, rubber or gravel-encased systems. ABC safely absorbs the greatest capacity for rounds and is easily repaired, thereby reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Approximately 12,321 cu. Yds. of Amidon Ballistic Concrete were used to produce the block, floor plank, curbing, stairs and stair landings to complete the project. It took a crew of 48 approximately 170 days to produce and erect the 27 structures.
The structures were designed and laid out to simulate potential fighting soldiers would encounter in close combat urban environments. Structures made from Amidon Ballistic Concrete are modular and can be reconfigured in the event needs change.
